About the lab

Better weekends start before the first cut.

Weekend Project Lab is an independent editorial site for people planning woodworking, backyard, garden, and home projects.

What we publish

Our guides focus on the decisions that make a project easier to evaluate: intended use, space, materials, measurements, hardware, finish, safety, and the quality of the plan itself.

How recommendations work

Some pages may link to paid project libraries or other resources. When a link can earn us a commission, we say so close to the recommendation. Compensation does not turn a producer's claim into our own finding.

What we do not claim

We do not claim to have personally built or tested a product unless the page says exactly that and documents the work. Illustrative images are labeled, and readers should verify plans, measurements, hardware, local requirements, and current offer details before acting.
